Do You Have a Patient with Dyskinesia Due to Cerebral Palsy (DCP) Who May Be Interested in the Kinect-DCP Study?

If you have a patient who is living with involuntary movements that are difficult to control (dyskinesia) due to CP, the Kinect-DCP Study may be an option.

About the Kinect-DCP Study

Study Purpose

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of valbenazine versus placebo on improving chorea in participants aged 6 to 70 years who have dyskinesia due to cerebral palsy (DCP) with choreiform movements.

Study Design

This study is a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of valbenazine for the treatment of DCP. In the double-blind treatment period, participants will be randomized 1:1 (or like flipping a coin) to receive either the study drug or placebo. In the open-label treatment period, all participants will receive the study drug.

Study Duration

The total duration of participation is up to 56 weeks, and includes the following study treatment periods:

  • A 14-week double-blind treatment period with a 1:1 randomization to receive valbenazine or placebo
  • A 32-week open-label treatment period with valbenazine

Key Inclusion Criteria

  • Medically confirmed diagnosis of dyskinesia due to CP with choreiform movements
  • Medical conditions are stable and expected to remain stable throughout the study

Other inclusion and exclusion criteria apply.

Key Exclusion Criteria

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a clinical diagnosis or history of dyskinesia due to a condition other than CP
  • Have any suicidal behavior or suicidal ideation in the year prior to screening or on Day 1
  • Are a substance abuser of any compound
  • Have a known history of long QT syndrome or cardiac tachyarrhythmia, or clinically significant ECG abnormalities

Other inclusion and exclusion criteria apply.
